Eternal Radiance

The mellowing sun upon the horizon,

Casting its faint shadows,

Rays melting into the crimson hue of the sky

Like an illusion of a soul fading into oblivion,

Leaving no traces behind; and yet,

Hidden from sight, the guardian angel,

Watching silently in the night, and

Soon after, heralding the new dawn

The leaves, now like coffee beans

Speckled with bits of yellow dust

Fall to the Earth, where they must

Lie like souls bereft of all vigor

Trampled and crushed under countless feet

And yet, the sun continues to shine

Like an undying spirit, zealous and passionate

Enlightening all things around, and

Providing a ray of hope for those days yet unborn

The night falls, enveloping all in its silent presence

Like a mother, singing a lullaby to her child

Imploring him to close his eyes, to all that is past

And wake up to make a new start

And slowly, sleep lulls him into a false bliss

Creating illusions of lands yet untrodden

Then suddenly yanks him back, and flings him into a dark hollow

From where, there seems to be no escape

And yet, the sun continues to shine

In a different dimension, though still a part of our world

Enlightening the paths where it treads, and

Strengthening little ones like him

To pull themselves out of those deep dark dungeons, and

Challenge the night once again, with fortitude.

And so the child awakens

To a new sun and a new beginning

Amidst the colour and the joy

That Nature seems to have bestowed on its children

New leaves grow, new blossoms emerge,

Fragrant and beautiful,

Embracing within their bosoms

Promises of a new life and a new spirit

The sun only smiles and continues to shine

A spot on this vast canvas of life, yellow and bright

Forever glowing, eternally radiant

A beacon of hope, a guiding light

I like your blog!

PS. I didn't read this post. And then I caught a glimpse of the last line and I read it as "A bacon of hope" and that brought a complicated picture to my mind but then I re-read the line and everything was okay was again.
